Swatis avoid going to Pakistan this year
«
on:

I had been planning for last couple of years to go to Pakistan and see friends and relatives in Swat. Last year in summer vacation i was almost ready to go but due to unavoidable circumstances i planned to go in x-mass this year.
Now i guess i am not going to go this year or in near future because of the situation in swat and pakistan. I am told that the residents are leaving Swat. Some have sold out their houses and properties and have permanently moved to other cities.
I think most of the swatis who are living abroad have the same story.

Dont go brother... its too unsafe, especially if you have lived abroad. My relative was kidnapped and severely punished for being an engineer and working in upper Swat, his crime was that he was a graduate from a western university. He was only released when the family scraped money from different sources to pay the ransom. My father has asked me not to return and we are planning on selling our family business and move to Isl, hopefully that will be safer.

Really very sad news for us. I have self experience, when I was on vacation during Oct 08. I spent 9 days inside the boundry of my home and almost 15 days I could not go out of my village, as all the road were closed. Even if the roads are open, you dont know if on return, you will be able to reach back home or not. There may be bomb blast and suddenly every thing is sealed. I will also advise every body, dont go swat. If you can plan your vacation somewhere else, then its ok.

Cannot say anything. We pray that it should not continue like Afghanistan; for three decades.

While we all know what has been going on in Swat and the sufferings of its people, but I would like to tell you from my own experience that you should not sell your properties in Swat, should not move to other cities until you can resist and discourage others from doing the same.
Internal displacement and migration will neither help the migrants nor Swat at large in longer term. The only way is the popular support of the MPAs and MNAs of affected areas to campaign for stopping the military action. I believe that without the conscent of ISI nothing can happen with such an extent in Pakistan. How an agency which has been for years interfering in and keeping an eye on the countries such as India and Afghanistan can not control things in its backyard. Surely, it can but it is not dowing so for they feel that they are defending the Pakistan interests in longer term which worths the sacrifice of thousands of thousand (may turn to millions and millions) of Pakhtuns.

Brother, Atiq khan I absolutely agree with your comment. We shouldn't run rather face the challenge and get through. And insha Allah we will .

Easier said than done...
Although I agree with what you say regarding ISI and what not. I do not think its possible to conduct daily life in Swat in a normal and decent fashion. I mean these Talibs have ruined everything. People are sending their children out for education. I studied in Sangota under a Christian teacher and am saddened to see what happened to the school. Likewise everything is gone. I have heard just now that Mena Bazaar has been closed for women in Barikot. This to these idiots is Islam. May God burn them all in hell along with their supporters.
Living in these bad conditions are just prolonging what will eventually happen. Schools are closed or people are not sending their children out of fear. Girls have been threatened by these thugs that even with burqa acid will be thrown on them!
This is no way to live.
FM never insisted on having schools remain open. FM never said blowing up schools is bad. FM never said getting education is Fardh on man and woman. FM never spoke up on social injustices because he is a part of it!!! FM is an
american agent
,
RAW agent
, he is
ISI and Mosad agent
. That is where he gets his money and guns from.....
If you want to live in Swat then you must not remain silent.
We must fight these Munafiqeen with the same pride our forefathers had fighting against the many invaders history has challenged the Pakhtun lands with! The enemy may be different ie within us but the challenge is the same. Pakhtuns never lost hope when they start to fight! We must act now to save our future generations!
Its either now or never!!!
Save Swat or watch it get destroyed by the Talibs and the Army, the same way they did in Afghanistan!
Any pakhtun who is sincere to Pakhtunistan and Swat and does not want to become like these animals should send their children to get
education.
Education is what is making our enemies strong, we need to compete.
They have the power because they are educated and risen up in the society. Our enemies felt threatened by Swat because Swat was among the most highly educated Pakhtun areas in Pakhtunkhwa. Look around, now the jahileen are leading us
from the most backward areas in Swat
where education was low or not present to begin with!!!
Amazing!!!
I have stopped supporting our village masjid, took all the money I used to give to the mosque and I now give it to needy kids who are in govt schools and their parents. I have asked our village elders to kick out the charnee/talibs our mosque. I know its cruel and the children are not at fault but today's charnee/talibs are tomorrows thug! This may be something very small but this is the only way I can fight and trust me... I am!!!!
