In my view you should have read it first. Found it quite informative and it was a splended effort on the part of Mehmood Khan wror.

If someone has any disagreements, my humble request to express them clearly and not try to humiliate others for their posts. no offence meant.

Asalahmo Alaikum,  this is my final post on this topic and i think it needs locking now. i will answer as many posts on this :

=======================================
Brother Pukhtoon:I have one good question for all of you who believe in demonstrations and stuff like that. Will these demonstrations make any difference and will it have any impact on not starting the war against Iraq?
=======================================

Brother is the Muslim umma was united then this demonstation would not have been taken place. The world woul dnot be in this situation, the people of the world woul dnot suffer Muslims and non Muslims alike.
brother yes they do make a diference muslims have no power as you well know look around and see.We only have power in numbers therfore by default we need to unite the Umma.

========================================
Brother Pukhtoon
What I personally think is that history shows that no such demonstrations have ever made any impact nor these have changed the minds of so called super-powers of the present day world. We have seen so many demonstrations held when there was war imposed on Afghanistan, when human rights athrocities were caried out in Palestine, when innocent muslims were brutally killed by India in Kashmir, when Bosnian and Chechan muslims were brutally slaughtered and many more. Isn't this time to show some thing more effective and shouldn't we think more about taking the true path of Islam and first make all the 5 pillars of Islam effective on ourselves. I don't see any benifit in just crying and shouting in other words pledging to those who infact are making us go through all those things that we pledge them for not to do. Muslim brothers and sisters think about it.
=======================================

Pukhtoon brother i agree and lots have to be done give dawaat to your friends and family.Brother right now the whole world is a mess and its because of greed.Me first then anyone else.

Brother mehmood i will not answer your post as i see them as racist and i dont entertain racists.

========================================
Musafar_Pakhtoon, it is useless arguing with this gentleman. He is morally too weak to foresake his lavish life in Bredford, where he is having a job earning him 55000 pounds a year and a mansion with two car garages to give him the satisfaction of an accomplished life. (He disclosed this information on another Pakhtun site.)
======================================

lol i see this as quite funny, i have not disclosed that on this site and you bring it up.That was a mistake and i think its wrong to pull rank on the grounds of assets.
Yes i do have a good job mashahAllah and a nice house with thre grace of allah.
I pay my zakaat and i also pay towards many programs which i also am running myself on my OWN FUNDS WITH NO FUNDING FROM THE GOVT.have i ever said anything about it?
why dont you also say that i am involved with a group of NON MUSLIMS in designing a machine to produce limbs ( plastic) out of recycled materials?

I dont understand some poeple.There are people who want to help and there are people like you. Sorry if i ofended anyone .This is MY FINAL POST ON THIS SUBJECT i would like ADMIN to LOCK the topic too.

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.

First of all, if you are in a public discourse and argue about something then don't expect that your arguments were the last and no one should say anything about it anymore. Your arguments can be based on wrong notions.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
brother yes they do make a diference muslims have no power as you well know look around and see.We only have power in numbers therfore by default we need to unite the Umma.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
so in your opinion demonstrations will bring the Ummah together to unity, can you show an example when demonstrations brought Muslim Ummah together.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pukhtoon brother i agree and lots have to be done give dawaat to your friends and family.Brother right now the whole world is a mess and its because of greed.Me first then anyone else
------------------------------------------------------------------------
First dawaat I am giving is to you to join Islamic forces for Jihaad if you have a true spirit of Islam. Leaving lavish life is part of sacrifices you give for Islam. Allah has mentioned that if a person has lavish life he is exception to make a contribution in Jihaad. My family has given so much in the way of Islam that you can't imagine which should not be discussed over here. So, now its your turn to show some spirit of true Islam if you feel so.

sallam every body, It is a wonderful discovery for me, brother Mahmood Khan! that you read and admire Maulana Rumi and Ibn al Arabi, ...

Rumi,s Masnawi is now a days my all the time favourite book, and recently I brought only few things in my small bag from Pakistan, and one of them was a set of six volumes of "masnawi" with Urdu translation...such a wonderful expression of true love...giving me so much hope..and bliss...and taking me to unseen but true and real worlds.
North American and European libraries already contain lot of his books, and they have Rumi societies too.

Rumi is a great optimist and doctor of soul.

But one thing I don,t understand in your posts is that why can,t you consider all mankind as family of God...our holy prophet (pbuh) told us that the biggest and the most dangerous "shirk" comes from pride of our own "nafs"(ego) or in your case I can say "pakhto", so please think about it in the light of Rumi,s teachings.

We lose our ego, and then we get everlasting life in our creator..otherwise a simple fact is known to you that dust goes back to dust..whether dust was "pukhtun" , "European Caucasian", "Arab", or proud six thousands years old Hindu..dust stays dust.

Pukhtuns and other Aryans of Iran, India and central Asia were converted to Islam by the grace of Almighty Allah and efforts of great Arab nation,...so we cannot undermine potentials and abilities of Arab nation..Pukhtuns are part of that nation too, as great great grand mother of Yusafzai Pukhtuns herself was an Arab.

Love for all is the first message of Islam and Rumi, I apologise for any of my rude statments, which I have written so far..."sulh e kul" is our message for every body.
Muslims are like one body, who are clinging to the rope of Allah in this hostile world.

Wassallam

my yousafzai great ...... grand-mother was no arab. Yours may be. I dont remember grand-pa  bringing one home, if he did something on Haj that progeny will be in arab land so doesnt count.

As far as Rumi, Arabi, and others are concerned, no one person, sect or peaple have a monopoly on the writing of a person. Rumi will laugh at your suggestion of Dravidian Umma.

Liking ones writtings does not atomatically elevate them to a pedestal from where they govern all aspects of the readers life. If I have a brain tumor I will seek a neurosugeon, not look for answers in masnawi.

In the ninteenth century and earlier times I would be better off listening to the masnawi for my brain tumor though, I agree. This is not true today at least not in developed world.

Each day more and more daily events in life can be increasing answered by other means, far superior than any book published before 1950. This "other means" is the collection of painstaking scientific research and accumulation of analytically analyzed experiences.

A high school honor student today may have more factual and usefull knowledge of our world than Aristotle ever did.

On the other hand, pure literary beauty is timeless and can be appreciated for ages to come. On a nice winter evening, reclining in a couch next to a fireplace, sipping tea, I will love to read from rumi rather than pick a neurosurgoens account of a brain tumor surgery. And thats where it ends.
